I never thought it would happen, but I’ve given up paper books for an eReader. As much as I love the feel of a real book in my hands, it’s so much more convenient to carry around a digital book (or three). However, just because I don’t read paper books as often, it doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate their beauty. Here are some gorgeous libraries – a little literary eye candy for a Friday!
Well, I’m all moved into my new house. Still loads of unpacking to do, but I’ve been taking the afternoon to relax and basically do nothing. I had help from some amazing friends and family today, and I’m grateful to have them in my life. Even with all this support (both near and far), I find there are moments where I need to look inside myself for strength. One of the ways I do this is to focus on sources of wisdom and creative inspiration. I’m inspired not only by the words themselves, but by the artists who convey the message in a beautiful way. The talented Lisa Congdon creates lovely interpretations of words that resonate with me. Below are some of my favourites, but you can find more on her blog.
Here is some fun art by Illinois artist Chad Wys. I really like these coloured bars over an old found painting – inspires me to create a similar DIY version!
